The Assassin's Return

Ubisoft has announced the release for Holiday 2014 of "Assassin's Creed Unity".

®      For those who don't know the video games Assassin's Creed

Assassin's Creed is a video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal. It's an action-adventure game.
The game principle is based on "the Animus", a machine capable of reading the genetic memory of a subject (the memory of his ancestors).

The story focuses on Desmond Miles, a young American with ancestors belonging to the order of the Assassins. We discover in the first episode Altaïr Ibn La-Ahad, an Assassin Master who lived in the Holy Land during the Third Crusade, and in the second part Ezio Auditore da Firenze, an Italian nobleman of the Renaissance, in the third part Connor Kenway, an assassin Native American and English having lived the War of Independence of the United States. The group is in constant conflict against the Templars. In the fourth part Edward Kenway, a vogue that British pirate in the Caribbean islands, meet famous pirates such as Blackbeard and Calico Jack.

®      The fifth part: Assassin’s Creed Unity

Officially we don’t yet know much about this fifth part. Many people thought about an Assassin’s Creed in France, and finally it’s France that has been selected. Currently known as the Unity code, the fifth part of the series will take place at least partly in Paris, in the 18th century. The context could be that during the French Revolution and some sources are already talking about an assassin named Arno.

Personally, being a fan of these games and French I look forward to this fifth part, which promises to be very interesting.

®      Not just a video game

Assassin's creed is also a book series containing the stories of the ancestors of Desmond Miles. Those Books have as successful as video games.

Moreover, what’s very interesting in the series Assassin's creed it’s this mix between historical reality and fantasy. In fact, all the stories of Assassin's Creed are based on historic facts. For me it is both an entertaining and educational game.
